Podium offers browser-based, live multistream broadcasting and videconferencing. Built on Adobe technologies and delivered via Flash Media Servers and CDNs such as Limelight Networks, Podium is used for small geographically dispersed meetings and large-scale event broadcasts.
Who it’s For
Podium is used in two distinct ways:
- For large-scale, primarily one-way transmission of events, talks and speeches with the ability to gather audience feedback via question submission and polling, and present slides and other supporting documentation.
- For small, geographically dispersed teams that need “face to face” communication, collaboration and the ability to share documents and ideas.
What it can do
- Stream audio and video;
- Incorporate up to 10 simultaneous streams (i.e., People who are actively Webcasting video to one another);
- Share and distribute documents;
- Incorporate slideshows and other presentation material;
- Provide different “views” based on User Type (viewer, participant, moderator, administrator);
- Provide registration, registration tracking and access gateways.
